Albert R. Aguirre, 48, of Indianapolis, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on June 11th,
2022. He was born in Fresno, California January 13th, 1974 to parents Jose Angel and
Esperanza Aguirre.
Growing up mostly in Glendale and Los Angeles, Albert was the second youngest of five
children. He was extremely active and incredibly smart as a boy, impressing his family as he
always figured out how to do things without reading any instructions. He loved Mexican food,
especially Menudo and spicy food growing up, always emphasizing the spicier the better.
Though he was very mischievous at home, he never allowed himself to get in any trouble with
the law. Albert loved playing baseball as a child, later getting into and playing football for
Franklin High School’s varsity team. After high school, he went on to join the military to start a
new chapter in his life, making his family very proud in the process.
Albert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1993-2002 working in
avionics and computer technology. During his service, he met the love of his life, Antoniette
“Annette” D. Mirasol. On November 9th, 1995, they married and shared 27 wonderful years
together.
After marriage, Albert and Annette received orders to go to Marimar, San Diego, and then a
year later they were sent to Marine Corp Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. While stationed in Japan,
they had their first 2 children. Then they both decided to leave the service and return to
Indianapolis to pursue their college education.
While working full-time in Indianapolis, he also attended Indiana University–Purdue University
Indianapolis from 2002-2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer
and Technology. Shortly after graduating and having his 4th child, he continued a career in
computer customer service. In 2006, he accepted a customer care position at his former
employer Vision Solutions, eventually working his way up through the years and achieving a
management role at Opentext.
Besides taking care of his family, Albert was heavily involved in his community. He loved being a
field manager and also volunteered at the soccer club United Soccer Alliance of Indiana from
2012-2019, the same club his 4 children attended for several years as he cheered each of them
on and took pictures from the sidelines of their games.
When he wasn’t working or volunteering, Albert filled his free time with his other passions. He
sought out and became a professional photographer, traveling to several conventions and
learning under some of the best commercial photographers in order to perfect his craft. As an
avid sports fan, he enjoyed cheering for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and watching a
variety of other sports including football, soccer, and basketball. He loved playing baseball &
softball and was selected to play for the Marine Corps Iwakuni Base Team during his time in the
military. He also loved participating alongside his friends in their own fantasy football league (the
Soccer Dad’s Club). Most of all, Albert loved spending time with his family. A great cook, he
would create wonderful meals for his family to enjoy before later teaching them how to make
them. As a big movie fanatic, Albert liked to watch several types of movies with his family at the
local theaters, especially Marvel and Star Wars films. He was also a reality TV show fan and
kept up with several shows. Albert also loved spending time outdoors with his family, going on
numerous camping trips and partaking in boating activities over the years.
A very smart man, he was well-rounded and knowledgeable in many things, and if he wasn’t, he
had the capability to research and teach himself new skills. He would always be willing to lend a
helping hand to anyone who needed assistance. Albert also had a fantastic sense of humor. He
took pride in having a self-proclaimed goofy personality and never failed to get people around
him to smile and laugh. This exceptional sense of humor along with his versatile knowledge and
selfless attitude led him to make countless friends and memories anywhere he went.
Albert was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Albert valued family, his
Mexican culture & heritage, and had an exceptional and inspiring work ethic. He was a strong,
loving gentleman and through that he became respected by many. He will be greatly missed by
all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; his children Angel, Ava, Ashton, and Adan Aguirre; his
mother Esperanza Aguirre; his siblings Juan Carlos Aguirre Heras, Margarita Aguirre-Moreno,
Hector Aguirre, and Brenda Jacqueline “Jackie” Ramirez; to include the rest of his family
members along with all of his nieces and nephews; and his beloved chihuahuas Alister and
Amor.
He is preceded in death by his father Jose Angel Aguirre and his dog Alphie.
